Bartow County Authorities Arrest Two In Connection With Shooting
Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have two teens in connection with a shooting, which occurred on Wednesday June 25, 2008.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, investigators arrested Brianna Anita Stephens, 17, Riverdale, and William Henry Anderson, Jr, 17, East Point on numerous charges.
Bartow County Deputies and Investigators were called to 23 Spring Folly in Four Seasons Subdivision late Wednesday evening in response to gunshots fired into a home. Investigators and Deputies secured evidence and later in the night located Stephens in the area. On Thursday afternoon, investigators were pursuing leads in the case when they located Anderson walking on Grassdale Road at Evergreen Trail. Anderson was arrested and a firearm was recovered which had been reported stolen through East Point Police Department in 2007.
Investigators have charged Stephens with 4 counts of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary, False Statements, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of a Pistol Under 18 Years of Age. Anderson was charged with 4 counts of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Pistol Under 18 Years of Age, and Theft By Receiving Stolen Property.
Sheriff Millsap said that two pistols were recovered and taken into evidence by the sheriff’s office and the case is still under investigation, so more arrests are possible. Based on evidence recovered at the scene, this incident is believed to be gang related.
