Man Burned In Shannon House Fire

A Shannon man was treated for minor burns after his home in the Shannon Village burned Tuesday Night.

Firefighters initially responded to the 300 block of 3rd St. in Shannon around 9:30 PM to a reported structure fire. They arrived to find the occupant of the house had escaped and heavy smoke was coming from the home.

The house was a total loss and a representative from the Fire Marshal’s office was called to investigate the cause of the blaze.

The man was treated on the scene by Floyd EMS for minor burns.
