West By-Pass Delayed til February of 09, Maybe Longer
The west section of the Rome by-pass is moving on right of way acquisition with DOT spokesman Mohamad Arafa saying that only four parcels remain to be acquired.
The project still must be designated as a priority project to go to bid next February.
Priority issues are mobility and safety and it remains to be seen how the project from Blacks Bluff Rd. to the Alabama Highway will fare in the state’s new priority system
