Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Fence

A motorcyclist was injured Sunday Afternoon when his motorcycle left the road and struck a fence in Texas Valley.

The wreck occurred around 3:10 PM in the 2300 Block of Big Texas Valley Rd. The victim reportedly left Texas Valley Rd., Striking a wooden fence which knocked him off of the cycle.

Rome Fire Engine 7 arrived to find that the victim had received minor injuries but was conscious and alert, though complaining of back pain.

Firefighters were able to immobilize the victim until Floyd EMS arrived and transported the victim to Floyd Medical Center.
