Fishing Fund Raiser To Benefit Local Police Officer Serving In Iraq
The Floyd County Police Department is holding a fishing fund raiser to benefit one of their own, officer Marcus Roberts.
Roberts is currently serving a tour of duty in Iraq until january 2009.
The department is holding the fundraiser to aid in the cost of phone calls and postage for Marcus to communicate with his family.
The fund raiser is this Saturday at 1pm at the Floyd County Wildlife club on Holland Road.
The cost is $25 per person and children under 12 are free.
