Local Girl Continues Effort Of Raising Money For Shelter Animals
A local 12-year-old girl is holding a fundraiser for the Floyd County Animal Shelter Tuesday, July 15 in hopes of purchasing beds for the animals at the shelter.
Jennifer Lowery and some friends will be at the East Rome Wal-Mart from 4-7 p.m. collecting donations for the shelter. They will be passing out flyers with information about the shelter at this time as well. Lowery held a similar fundraiser for the shelter last July and collected over $500.
“Jennifer has put so much time and effort into these projects and it is very appreciated by not only us but the animals as well,” said Jason Broome, Animal Control Director. “I would love to think that we could all learn from her example.”
