31st Annual Homespun Festival in Polk County

This weekend, enjoy a fun getaway close to home. Head for Rockmart and lots of summertime fun during the 31st annual Homespun Festival, July 18-19 in Seaborn Jones Park.

There’s plenty to do for all ages. Arts and Crafts, a 5 K Run on the Silver Comet Trail, downtown parade, the Rotary Duck Race, Kiwanis Car Show, continuous entertainment and a fireworks extravaganza are all part of the excitement. Kids will be delighted by an 18 ft slide and obstacle course, climbing wall, whirly bird, petting zoo and more.

When its time to eat, a variety of food may be found throughout the park.

Gospel Night starts the festivities Friday at 5 pm and concludes with a performance by Heirborn from 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Saturday’s activities begin with the 5K run at 8 am and end with fireworks and entertainment by Southern Thunder from 9 pm – 10 pm.

For more information call the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, 770-684-8760.
