Greer Wants To Return to School Board
Jim Greer, a veteran of 22 years on the Rome Board of Education would like to resume his service on the body, submitting his name for consideration as a replacement for the late Gene Clark.
Greer and Clark served together for more than two decades until Greer resigned last year to seek a seat on the Rome city commission. He was unsuccessful in that bid.
Candidates to fill Clarks vacancy have until 7:30 am July 31st to submit an application for the post. The unexpired term continues through the end of December in 2009.
