3 Injured in Shannon Wreck

3 people were injured in an early Saturday Afternoon crash when their car left Highway 53 near Shannon.
The wreck occurred around 1:30 PM when the car left the roadway near Newell Recycling between Rome and Shannon.
The car was carrying a total of 5 passengers, though only 3 received injuries and were transported by Floyd EMS. Contrary to early reports, the victims were not entrapped in the vehicle after the wreck.
