New Church To Suspend Leadership 30ft In Air To Raise School Supplies For The
Connect Rome, a new church plant in Rome, GA will be suspending their leadership team for 48 hours 30 feet above Office Depot’s parking lot in a scissor lift to urge the community to buy school supplies for the students of Anna K. Davies Elementary School.
Connect Rome and Office Depot are urging the community to simply Buy A Little More in hopes that thousands of dollars in school supplies can be given to students who might not otherwise get them. The event will begin Friday, August 1st, at 5 pm and will end Sunday, August 3rd at 5 pm. Not only will there be people suspended 30 ft up in the air in a scissor lift, but there will also be inflatables for the kids, live music, and giveaways. Q102 will be broadcasting live from the Office Depot parking lot.
All of the school supplies will be donated to Mountaintop Experiences, Inc. on Branham Avenue to provide to the children at Anna K. Davies Elementary. Mountaintop feeds over 4000 children a month as well as providing clothing and school supplies for the students in the area.
The lift will be located in the parking lot of Office Depot at 2112 Shorter Ave. To make a donation, buy school supplies and bring them to the Office Depot parking lot between Friday August 1st and Sunday August 3rd.
