Police Officer Witnesses Car Flip on Martha Berry Blvd.

A Rome Police Officer was in the right place at the right time Saturday Morning when a wreck left one driver with minor injuries.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Martha Berry Blvd. and Turner McCall Blvd. around 9:00 AM. At that time, Rome Police Captain Ralph Bishop was sitting at the intersection, and was able to report the accident to 911 immediately. In turn, 911 dispatched the proper additional units within 30 seconds. According to reports, the car was upside-down when it came to a stop.

The driver only received minor injuries in the wreck and was able to climb from the upside-down car.

The wreck periodically blocked traffic in all lanes as crews worked to clear the scene. Clean-up wasd completed by 9:20 AM.
