Massive Tree Falls; Blocks Martha Berry Blvd.

A Massive tree fell Sunday Morning, blocking all lanes of Martha Berry Blvd. for about an hour.
According to Rome Police PFC Josh Kerce, the tree fell across the road in front of China City and Oak Hill around 1:30 PM. The tree was so large, that it blocked all lanes of traffic and required a response from both the Street Dept. and Fire Dept.
Martha Berry Blvd. was shut down until 2:30 PM while crews worked to clear the road. After removing the tree, the Fire Dept. had to perform a wash-down of the road to clear additional debris
