Graduation Rates Show Significant Improvement in 5 of 6 Schools
Four of the five public high schools in Rome and Floyd County experienced improvements in their gradation rates according to data included in the Adequate yearly progress report that was issued Friday afternoon.
Rome High improved 6% to 65.6% of it’s students graduating in the four year window. Pepperell high improved almost 5% to 78.3%; Model was up a whopping 8+ points to 80.2% which was best in the county this year. Coosa’s rate was up almost 6% to 73.1%. Armuchee dropped slightly from 81.1% a year ago to 79.4% this year.
The data shows that all five school met the AYP criteria in that category.
