Woman Allegedly Points Gun At Infant, In Stand Off With Police
Rome police have responded to a home on Harvey Street in North Rome after a call came in to 911 around 5:30am this morning that a woman at that location was fighting and had pointed a gun at an infant.
The male caller told dispatchers that he had left the scene with the infant. When police arrived they found him walking down Pine Street with the baby.
The unidentified male told officers that the female was intoxicated and was inside the home with a revolver type handgun.
Police set up a perimeter around the home and called in the SWAT team.
SWAT officers entered the home after sending in gas around 7:45am and took the female into custody.
