Fricks’ Pleads Nolo Contendere At Hearing, Two Charges Reduced To Warnings

County Commissioner Garry Fricks’ court date came and went Monday afternoon in Gordon County without much fireworks.

Fricks himself was not present and was represented by counsel.

Through a representative, Frick plead Nolo Contendre or “No Contest” on two charges and paid fines on two others.

Fricks provided proof to the Judge that his license had been reinstated and the suspended license charge was reduced to a warning along with the improper plate transfer charge.

Fricks paid fines on the charges of driving without proof of insurance and speeding.

Fricks was originally arrested on June 5th after he was pulled over by a Calhoun Police officer for speeding and charged with No proof of insurance, suspended license, improper plate transfer and speeding.

Representatives for Fricks had no comment after the hearing.

Fricks is running for another term on the Floyd County commission and is unopposed.
