Blood Drive To Be Held Thursday At Garden Lakes Elementary
Blood Assurance will be hosting a blood drive to benefit Sherri Nix on Thursday, August 7 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m at Garden Lakes Elementary School.
Nix, who recently accepted a position as an assistant principal at Garden Lakes Elementary School, was recently diagnosed with leukemia and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
For each blood donation, Blood Assurance will make a monetary contribution to the Nix family to assist with expenses.
Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. The donors will receive a complimentary snack and t-shirt and all visitors will be eligible to register for a pair of TNG SS49 scooters.
