SPLOST Update

The proposed Armuchee connector is the single largest project in the SPLOST package approved in 2006 and Tuesday night County manager Kevin Poe told Citizens SPLOST committee members that the project should go to bid next spring.

Work on the widening of the Turner McCall bridge over the Etowah is also going to be held up due to GDOT budget and prioritization efforts.

Thus far, SPLOST collections have added up to just a little more than $18 million, about $88,000 less than had been expected at this point.
