Peregrine Falcon Released at Rock City

A male peregrine falcon was released on a cliff at Rock City Tuesday.

John Stokes with Save Our American Raptors is financing the project this year.

The bird, named Rocky, follows in the talons of Garnett and Frieda who were released at Rock City last year.

A pair of peregrines have been nesting on a railroad bridge near the Chickamauga Dam for many years, but the male in that pair died earlier this year.
