Man Killed In Coosa Tractor Accident
A man who was riding in the front bucket of a tractor was apparently bounced out of the scoop and then run over by the tractor on Highway 100 between Coosa and Cave Spring just before 6:00 last night.
Deputy Coroner Gene Proctor said the man was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple trauma.
Proctor has not released the victim’s name pending notification of his family.
It is not clear whether or not riding in such a manner on a public highway is a legal and the incident, while determined to be an accident, is still under investigation.
