Mayor Wants Romans to Speak About Water Concerns
Rome Mayor Wright Bagby is encouraging Romans to learn more about the state’s water plan later this week at a town hall meeting hosted by Rep. Katie Dempsey.
Rep. Lynn Smith, chair of the House Natural Resources and Environment committee will be on hand along with Becky Champion from the Georgia EPD Watershed Protection branch.
That meeting will be held at the library Thursday at 6:30. Bagby also pointed out Monday night that a regional water meeting will be conducted by the Corps of Engineers and Georgia EPD September 16th in Rome. ON a light agenda last night, city commissioners approved an agreement with the county to allow county personnel to issue parking citations on lots designated to serve county facilities within the city limits.
