Tropical Storm Rains Out Rome Braves In Savannah
Wednesday night’s scheduled contest between the Rome Braves and Savannah Sand Gnats has been postponed due to inclement weather and wet field conditions. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 22.
The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of game one. Tickets for Wednesday night’s game can be used at any other Sand Gnats game this season. Friday night is Southside Community night sponsored by St. Joseph’s/Candler along with Locks of Love Night. Fireworks will be shot after Friday night’s game courtesy of KIX96.
The series will begin tomorrow at 7 p.m. with a Thirsty Thursday contest presented by Connect Savannah and Rock 106.1. There will be half priced beer and soda specials all night long.
