Airport Manager Likes New Way Of Funding
The FAA is changing the way it provides funding for airports.
According to Richard B. Russell Regional Airport Manager Mike Matthews, Federal monies will be turned over to the state, who will then administer the funds to the airports. Monies for capital improvement plans and other projects will come directly through the state as well.
Matthews says he likes the change because the state is easier to work with.
