Trees Fall Around County, Power Lines Down, One Home Damaged
A tree on Laural Drive in West Rome has snapped and partially struck a home, damaging its front porch.
Utility lines to number 7 and 9 Laural Drive were ripped down but it appears that no other homes were affected.
According to Rome fire fighters, the residents were not home when the tree fell.
About an hour later a large tree fell onto power lines on Rush Chapel Road in Shannon causing a transformer to catch fire and spread to a grass area.
