Pepperell High Football To Be Broadcast On WSRM and RomeNewswire
Thanks to an agreement between Pepperell High School, The Dragon Club, and business partner WRGA radio, all Pepperell High football games will be broadcast this fall on WSRM, 95.3. The broadcasts will be a cooperative effort involving students of the broadcast/video classes of Howard Ritchie at Pepperell High, Dragon Club members, and the staff at Southern Broadcasting maintaining the studio at 95.3.
“We are extremely proud of our relationship with General Manager Randy Quick and the entire staff at WRGA” stated Pepperell High Principal Phil Ray. A corporate decision was made to broadcast a “Game of the Week” on Q102, thus eliminating the weekly broadcasts of Rome High and Pepperell High football games for 2008.
In an effort to continue broadcasts for the Pepperell area, the Dragon Club bought air time on WSRM, sold ads, and is preparing for the first broadcast on Friday night when Paulding County pays a visit to Lindale. Mr. Ray said “I know that our loyal fans are appreciative of the efforts of those who made this possible. The Dragon Club members, the businesses that purchased advertising and the staff at WRGA are all to be commended for making this happen.”
In addition, all Dragon games will be streamed live over www.romenewswire.com.. Principal Ray said:”We had great response last year when our playoff game at Dublin was streamed and this gives our alumni in military or at college an opportunity to follow the Dragons.”
