Commission Okays Bids, Approves More Money For Indigent Defense
Floyd County Commissioner approved a bid for the new parking deck controls that will help operate the new deck between the Forum and the Hawthorn Suites.
The controls, plus the maintenance contract for years two and three was accepted at $222,000.
The commission also approved a $1.7 million bid for the county’s new work release center. Pinson’s Construction of Rome got the bid.
The county also added another $28,000 to the budget of Juvenile Court Judge Tim Pape to help pay for indigent offenders defense attorneys and interpreters.
