Johns Mountain Wildlife Area May Be Victim Of Budget Axe

State budget cuts are nothing new to Game Management supervisor Chuck Waters in Armuchee. However Waters says that the popular Johns Mountain, Cohutta and Rich Mountain WMA’s could be eliminated under the state’s 6% budget reduction plan, though a final decision has not been made.

Johns Mountain is popular for deer and turkey while Cohutta and Rich Mtn. are both particularly popular with bear hunters.
