Lindale Suffers Power Blackout
As of 5:30 PM Monday, several hundred Georgia Power Customers were in the dark in the Lindale area stretching from the area of the Maple Minute on Maple Road to past Booze Mountain Road.
Rome Fire Engine 2 responded to a major line down at the Old Rockmart Rd. Substation, which is believed to be blame for the outage.
The pole was burning when firefighters arrived.
Georgia Power crews had much of the power restored in about an hour although some customers remained without power as of 8pm.
