Town Green Work To Get Underway

The Floyd County Commission may decide to move forward with the Town Green section of SPLOST work downtown during their meeting Tuesday afternoon.

The town green will be located between the Forum and new parking that deck that is well on it’s way to completion by early in 2009.

Assistant county manager Blaine Williams has indicated that it makes sense to move forward with the Town Green project while RJ Griffin Construction crews are already on site completing the deck.

The hardscape sections of the Town Green will go forward with the grassing work to be completed early next spring.
