Missing Inmates Thought To Still Be In Southern Chattooga County Or Northern Floyd

According to sources, the two prisoners that escaped yesterday may still be in Chattooga County or northern Floyd County hiding in someone’s home.

State prison officials will not confirm this, or anything else for that matter. The Commissioner of the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Hays Warden are dodging media contact concerning this situation according to our news affiliate The Summerville News.

According to the Summerville News, the lack of information from the prison system has left some local and state officials dismayed with how the prison system is being run.

Local law enforcement officials urge people to check their barns, houses and property well for these two escaped convicts. Sources say one of these men has the propensity for hiding in attics.

Call 9-1-1 if you find evidence leading to their whereabouts.
