Roll-Over Simulator A Big Hit With Kids

By RomeNewswire • on October 22, 2008

Students from all over Floyd County got a chance this week to see what happens in a roll-over crash when you are not properly wearing your seat belt. The Floyd County police department arranged for a vehicle rollover simulator from the University of Georgia to visit several of the area schools.

The “tour” wrapped up this morning with a final demonstration at Glenwood Elementary.

Over 1,000 children and adults got a chance to see the simulator over the last week.

The Floyd County Police Department was instrumental in bringing this to the community and according to Police Public Information Officer greg Beck, the department will continue to educate the public on traffic safety as well as other important issues.
