Firefighters on the East side of Rome were left sleepless for a large part of the night after a house in Lindale went up in Flames late Friday evening.
The two alarm fire at 102 Oak St. was initially dispatched around 10:40 PM to Quint 3, Engine 2, Ladder 1, and Car 25. As units began to arrive, they found the house was fully involved and that they would need plenty more manpower, prompting an upgraded response by Ladder 1 and the response of Engine 10.
According to neighbors, the home was unoccupied.
