Two In Custody After Stabbing In Southern Floyd County
A stabbing late Thursday has sent one man to the Floyd Medical Center with serious injuries and landed two other people in the Floyd county jail.
According to Investigator Sabrina Hall with the Floyd County Police, the altercation occurred at 4831 Cedartown Hwy, Lot C. Apparently Jason Bryan Baggett and April Rana Jones began arguing with Ronald Joseph Striker in the presence of Jones’ three young children when Striker was allegedly stabbed multiple times by both Jones and Baggett.
Following the altercation, Jones and Baggett took their infant child and hid from police in the surrounding woods, where they were apprehended after a short while by police.
According to Hall, Sgt. Daniel Pendley charged both Jones and Baggett with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Crime, Cruelty to Children (third degree), and Obstruction of Officers.
