Car Rolls off Road in Armuchee Accident
By RNW Reporter Hayden Jennings
A wreck in Armuchee has injured a man and damaged a power pole in Armuchee late Saturday afternoon.
The wreck, similar to one earlier in the day, occurred in the 300 block of E. Troutman Rd. off of Old Dalton Rd. around 5:00 PM and prompted the response of Fire Engine 8, Rescue 1, and Car 23.
Initial reports indicated that the car was overturned off of the road with its male driver still inside, though he was concious and alert. Before fire units could arrive, the man climbed from the vehicle and walked away into the woods. Though the man’s whereabouts were unknown for around a minute following their arrival, emergency units found that he had walked to a nearby home.
The man was transported by Redmond EMS after firefighters walked him out to the road and waiting ambulance.
The wreck also took a power pole down from the ground up, prompting a response by Georgia Power. It is unclear if traffic or power coverage is affected on the dead-end road.
