RV in ditch; 1 taken to hospital

An RV carrying several people ended its trip early Friday afternoon when it slid into a ditch on East Hermitage Road near Firetower Road.

Though no one was seriously injured, an elderly woman was transported to the hospital by Floyd Medical Center’s EMS to be checked out.

The crashed occured about 4:15 p.m. and one lane of the East Hermitage was blocked while the scene was cleared. According to police at the scene, the wheels of the vehicle left the road, pulling the RV into the ditch.
