Area Dodges Bullet From Heavy Storms

Rain and storms made their way across the county Tuesday but it appears the area has dodged a bullet when it comes to major damage.
Several reports of funnel clouds and rotation were reported across the county, however the only damage appears to be from straight line winds in the 6000 block of Blacks Bluff Road where part of a roof was damaged.

A Tornado Warning was issued for the area but that was allowed to expire and no others warnings were issued.
Flooding appeared to be receding Tuesday night in most areas as city and county workers cleared many of the troubled drains that had backed up water.
The area has recorded over 5 inches of rainfall in the last 24 hours and according to the National Weather Service, the area could see more over night.
