Two Arrested – Police Seize Marijuana and $5000 in Cash
Rome police make a traffic stop, two drug arrests and a large cash seizure during one investigation in east Rome Wednesday morning.
21 year old Markus D. English of an E. 15th Street address and 20 year old Jeffrey L. Woods of an Acworth address are each charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a felony amount of marijuana. Possession within a thousand feet of public housing and possession within a thousand feet of an elementary school.
The bust was made at 14th and Hull. Woods was driving the vehicle inside of which police found numerous baggies of pot and close to $5,000 in cash.
