Two Charged With Murder In Connection With Death Of Baby
Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two individuals Friday and charged them with murder following a case dating back several years involving what is suspected as a shaken baby incident.
30 year old Mike Reggie Haynes and 25 year old Chamekia Shantell Byars of 803 Darlington Way were arrested and are being held in the Floyd County jail charged with murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and cruelty to children.
According to sources, this case dates back several years and an investigation has been ongoing. A bench warrant was issued for the two from the Floyd County superior court on Friday.
