Man In Wheel Chair Arrested For Sex Crimes, Battery

A Rome man was arrested early Saturday morning on several charges after he was operating his electric wheelchair while intoxicated and allegedly committed several sex crimes.

26-year-old Bobby James Hicks was involved in a physical altercation after trying to force his girlfriend to commit a sex act on him.

Jail reports also indicate that Hicks attempted to get to others to perform sex acts on each other in exchange for drugs.

Hicks was charged with battery, simple battery, pandering, obstruction or hindering law enforcement, solicitation of sodomy, sexual battery, and cruelty to children in violation of the family violence act.
