Rome High Set for Expansion
Construction is set to on a 12-classroom expansion at Rome High School.
The two-story building will include 2 science rooms, regular classrooms and a cosmetology classroom.
City School Superintendent Dr. Gayland Cooper says there will be room for further expansion in the future thanks to the recent purchase of 9.9-acres of property adjacent to the campus.
Work on a secondary access for the Rome High-Middle School campus is expected to get underway this year. The street will run from the campus over to North Avenue.
