Floyd Physical Therapy, Rehab To Host Athletic Training Mini-Camp
Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab will host an Athletic Training Mini-Camp to develop early awareness of the athletic training profession for high school students this summer.
Led by Floyd-certified athletic trainers, the camp will provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillators certification, as well as informational lectures on such topics as first aid, injury recognition, taping techniques and nutrition. Hands-on laboratory experiences will accompany each lecture. Participants will develop new techniques, make new friends and have the opportunity to network with professionals.
Offered for students in grades 9-12, the mini-camp will take place at the Huffman Athletic Training Center on the Darlington School campus June 9-11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The mini-camp costs $125.
