Physicians Graduate From Floyd Medical Center Residency Program
Seven physicians have graduated from Floyd’s Family Medicine Residency Program.
The graduates are Natasha Elizabeth Ballard, M.D., Pamela Diane Edwards, M.D., Michael Edward Gonsalves, M.D., Allison Kimball Key, M.D., Aldrich V. Mendoza, M.D., Anthony Michael O’Meara, M.D. and Chetan Sharma, M.D.
The Floyd Family Medicine Residency Program trains physicians in the specialty of family medicine. The program provides three years of academic and clinical post-doctoral education to medical school graduates and offers hands-on experience to residents in preparation for full-time medical careers as physicians.
A native of Ohio, Ballard received her medical doctorate from the Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies. She will practice family medicine with Floyd Urgent Care in Rockmart.
Edwards is from Conyers. She earned her medical doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine and will practice as a family medicine physician in the United States Navy at the Naval Hospital in Beaufort, S.C.
Gonsalves earned his medical doctorate from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in Belize, Central America. Originally from Napa, California, Gonsalves will practice medicine with the Floyd Primary Care Network.
A native of Bremen, Key received her medical doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine. She will return to Bremen to practice family medicine.
Mendoza earned his doctor of medicine and surgery degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. A native of Las Pinas, Metro Manila in the Philippines, Dr. Mendoza will practice family medicine with the Floyd Primary Care Network.
O’Meara, a native of Key Largo, Fla., received his medical doctorate from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic. He will practice family medicine in McDonough.
Dr. Sharma, a native of Mandrella, India, received his medical doctorate from Grace University, Belize. He will practice medicine in College Park.
