3 People Taken To Hospital After Crash On Redmond Circle
Three people were transported for treatment after a two vehicle crash on Redmond Circle at the intersection of Lavender Drive.
According to the Rome Police Department: Julie Mittledier of Adairsville was driving east on Redmond Circle in a black GMC Yukon when a green GMC pickup driven by Raymond Lawrence of Rome pulled into her path.
Lawrence had been headed west on Redmond and was attempting to pull onto Lavender when he pulled into the path of the Yukon. The impact to the red passenger side of the truck spun it around so that it stopped facing the opposite direction.
Lawrence and his wife Edwena Lawrence were both transported to the hospital for treatment and complained of chest pains. Mittleider was unhurt, but a passenger in her SUV, Tami Richardson, was transported for treatment.
Lawrence was cited or failure to yield for his part in the crash. Traffic on Redmond and Lavender was slowed for almost an hour while the scene was cleared.
