Village Theatres Continuing Renovations
Renovations are complete at Rome Cinemas on Shorter Avenue and work is set to begin at the Movies at Berry Square.
The building at Rome Cinemas received an exterior face lift to go along with the addition of 3D movies. At Berry Square, two new stadium seating auditoriums will be added, complete with retractable armrests and highback seating. That facility is also getting a new lobby design and new concession stand to make for shorter lines.
In total, Village Theatres is spending about $350,000 to improve the movie-going experience of the greater Rome area.
“Even though the economy may be bad, the movies are still the most affordable form of entertainment available, so we are wanting to give our customers a more updated and comfortable atomsphere to come and watch a movie,” said Robin Miller.
Renovations are expected to be complete at Berry Square in the fall.
