New Road Requires Wetland Work
When the City of Rome constructs Wolf Drive, connecting the Rome Middle and High school complex with North Avenue, Public Services Director Kirk Milam says it will open up a lot of property for development.
The city is having to get wetlands permits for the project, and is actually purchasing wetlands mitigation credits which will set that project back another $50,000.
Construction is most likely to get underway next spring, and the road should be ready for use by the start of the 2010-2011 school year.
