DUI Report: Saturday, Nov. 7

According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

Tommy Lewis Drew, 61, of 454 Turner Rd. in Armuchee, was arrested late Friday night by the Floyd County Police Department and charged with DUI, failure to show due regard, following too closely and open container. He was booked and released from jail by Saturday morning.

David Eugene Hairston, 34, of 905 N. Tennessee St. in Cartersville, was arrested Friday afternoon by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on charges of DUI, suspended license and expired tag. He remained in jail Saturday morning.

Austin Bryan Leatherwood, 18, of 366 McClain Rd. in Kingston, was arrested Friday night by the Floyd County Police Department and charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane. He was booked and released from jail by Saturday morning.

Wayne Ira Reynolds, 30, of 2718 Maple Rd. in Rome, was arrested Friday by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on charges of DUI, suspended license, open container and a probation violation. He remained in jail Saturday morning.

Lorenzo Renald Simon-Mendez, 37, of P.O. Box 5056 in Rome, was arrested Friday morning by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office on felony failure to attend on charges of theft by taking and burglary and misdemeanor failure to attend on charges of DUI, speeding and driving while not licensed. He remained in jail Saturday morning.

Andres Humbert Vicente-Matzir, 25, of 25 Francis Dr. in Rome, was arrest Friday by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office on a court order for charges of DUI, no drivers license, open container, reckless conduct, weaving and criminal trespass. He remained in jail Saturday morning. 

Sandra Jean Wagers, 45, of 9-E 2nd Ave., Apt. 204, in Rome, was arrested Friday morning by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office on a court order for charges of DUI, weaving and driving with license in possession and a court order for charges of DUI and child endangerment. She remained in jail Saturday morning.
