A Rome driver faces multiple charges after she allegedly rear-ended an SUV with her vehicle in east Rome Friday night and then gave false information to police officers.

According to Rome Police PFC Chase Burnes, the collision occurred around 9:45 p.m. on East 12th Street at Spring Creek Street.

As a line of traffic traveled eastbound on East 12th Street, a car slowed to turn left into a private driveway. The driver of a silver Mitsubishi Diamante sedan, identified as Rebecca Farren, 22, of Rome, was unable to stop and crashed into the back of a Green Ford Escape carrying two passengers.

The Ford appeared to have minor damage to bumper, while the Mitsubishi appeared to suffer moderate damage to the front end.

The two unidentified passengers of the Ford were transported to Floyd Medical Center with neck and back pains. Their condition is unknown.
