According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities. All should be consider innocent until proven otherwise. Listed are those booked into Floyd County Jail. (These arrests may exclude felonious arrested individuals still incarcerated and DUI-related arrests. Jennifer Leigh Cantrell, 26, of 124 B David St. in Rome, was arrested at 9:00 a.m. Monday by the Floyd County Police Department and was charged with false report of a crime. She was booked and released from jail by Tuesday morning.
Rafael Diaz Guiterrez, 39, of 2034 Maple Rd. in Rome, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Monday by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with failure to appear for drunk and disorderly conduct charges. He was booked and released from jail by Tuesday morning.
Tomas Quino Lastor, 37, of 5 Coosa St. in Rome, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Monday by the Rome Police Department and was charged with driving without a license and running a stop sign. He remained in jail Tuesday morning.
Retipiles Sharon Strickland, 37, of 615 Melrose Ave. Apt. A in Rome, was arrested at 6:00 p.m. Monday by the Rome Police Department and was charged with theft by shoplifting and probation violation. She remained in jail Tuesday morning.
