According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities. All should be consider innocent until proven otherwise. Listed are those booked into Floyd County Jail. (These arrests may exclude felonious arrested individuals still incarcerated and DUI-related arrests. Michael Allen Clifton, 38, of 520 Burnett Ferry Rd. in Rome, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Wednesday by the Rome Police Department and was charged with disorderly conduct. He remained in jail Thursday morning.
Mitchell Paul Hufstetler, 33, of 30 Holcomb Spur in Adairsville, was arrested at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with probation violation. He was booked and released from jail by Thursday morning.
Ethan Alexander Ray, 20, of 210 Chattooga Line Rd. in Trion, was arrested at 2:13 a.m. Wednesday by the Rome Police Department and was charged with loitering or prowling, criminal trespassing, battery, and obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers. He was booked and released from jail by Thursday morning.
Heather Ruth Swift, 24, of 705 Smith St. in Rockmart, was arrested at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday by the Rome Police Department and was charged with theft by shoplifting. She was booked and released from jail by Thursday morning.
