Arrest Report: Monday, Feb. 8, 2010

According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities and charged with at least one felony crime. David Allen Dawson, 46, of 771 Berry Rd. in Cedartown, was arrested Sunday at 2:08 a.m. by the Floyd County Police Department and charged with one felony count each of burglary, theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree, along with obstruction or hindering of law enforcement officers. He remained in jail Monday morning.

John Steve Lecroy, 31, of 9 Butler St. in Rome, was arrested Sunday at 8:15 a.m. by the Floyd County Police Department and charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamines), a felony verbal probation violation hold and misdemeanor drug related objects. He remained in jail Monday morning.

Tony Maurice Mitchell, 47, of 832 Clyde Dr. in Cedartown, was arrested Sunday at 2:08 a.m. by the Floyd County Police Department and charged with one felony count each of burglary, theft by taking and criminal damage to property in the second degree and misdemeanor obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers. He remained in jail Monday morning.
