<p>Ross Collins, head of the DFACS office in Floyd County says that a big issue he’s faced in recent years involves family’s who take a foster child, wind up formally adopting that child and pulling out of the foster care system.  </p>

<p>According to Rome police, a vehicle pulled into the path of the truck and stop causing the tractor trailer to slam on his breaks. The sudden stop caused the load of concrete pipes to shift.</p>
<p>The outside lane of Turner McCall Blvd is still blocked while the load is being resecured. </p>

<p>Rome/Floyd Fire, EMS and Floyd County police responded to the home at 22 Timberwood Drive after the altercation and found the unidentified suspect had fled the scene in a white Honda Accord.</p>
<p>Police quickly located the suspect and apprehended him on Old Rockmart Road near the entrance to Ridgewood.</p>
<p>A female was also apprehended but was released after police determined she was not involved in the assault.</p>
<p>The suspect was taken to the Floyd County jail and according to police will be charged with Aggravated Assault.</p>
<p>The victim was not severely injured and refused to be transported to the hospital.</p>
